6 Facts I Wish I Knew Before Travelling to Qatar

Are you planning a trip to Qatar ?
Qatar is one of the most gorgeous 😍 Middle Eastern countries.
When you arrive in Qatar, you instantly feel rich 🤑 and luxurious.
It is a country of massive buildings of cutting-edge design, breathtaking scenery, and wonderful shopping 🛍.
It’s famous for its natural beauty, large sand dunes, and sandy beaches 🏖 .
Nonetheless, you should be aware (if you haven’t already) that Qatar has its own values.
And, every tourist should respect ✊🏻 any country’s values.
And, for not worrying about where to go, what to eat, what to wear, or what to do… 🤔
You should plan ahead of time, do some research 🧐, and find someone to guide you.
But wait!
King 🤴🏼 Sims has shown up! I will always lead you in the right direction.
I will reveal the 6 Facts I Wish I Knew Before Travelling To Qatar!
So, Let’s Quickly Start.

FACT #1- Arabic Is Not the Only Language Spoken

My biggest concern after arriving in Qatar was that I wouldn’t be able to connect with anyone.
Considering that Qatar 🇶🇦 is an Arabic-speaking nation and I only speak English.
Yet, I was taken aback. 😱
The majority of individuals there speak English, and they are very helpful in clarifying any misunderstandings. 😯
The best part of it all.
Everything is available in both Arabic and English.
Everything, including street signs 🪧 and menus, is written in both Arabic and English, making it incredibly straightforward to get around.
FACT #2- The Weather is a Problem

Don’t make my mistake and visit Qatar during the intense heat. ☀️
Qatar is a must-see 👀 destination.
Nonetheless, you should plan your trip carefully.
As Qatar can get extremely hot 🥵.
Especially, during May till the end of September.
Not only is it not hot, but it is also quite humid.
Middle Eastern humidity is no joke 🥲.
In opposition to us, because we are not adapted to these temperatures 🤒 .
You should be cautious while booking your trip to Qatar 🇶🇦 so that you can enjoy your stay without becoming exhausted 😩.
If you did, though, and travelled 🧳 within these months.
Don’t be too concerned 😧.
Qatar has found a way to beat the searing heat.
There are several air-conditioned open public places in Doha (Qatar’s capital).
But, to enjoy Qatar’s outdoor activities to the maximum, make sure you travel 🧭 during the right times.
➡️ The best months to visit Qatar are from November through the end of March. This time of year seems like Western May and June!
⬆️ Keep in mind that Qatar can be extremely freezing, especially during the months of January and February.
Hence, plan ahead of time and visit Qatar during the appropriate months.

FACT #3- There is a Dress Code

As tourists, we must respect any country’s culture, values, and traditions.
Qatar is an Islamic country with very traditional attire.
First-time visitors ✈️ to Qatar are often confused 🤔 about what to wear.
Of course, you are not going to dress as the locals do.
However, you are recommended to dress modestly and conservatively, in a comfortable and non-revealing manner.
Wearing a regular t-shirt 👕 and jeans 👖 is the most secure option ✔️.
Women 👩🏻 should cover their shoulders and refrain from wearing short skirts or shorts 🩳.
Both men 👨 and women 👩🏻 attempt not to wear sleeveless tops and short bottoms.
Because of the severe heat, bring a cap 🧢 , sunscreen 🧴 , and sunglasses 🕶 with you at all times.
FACT #4- Drinking Alcohol is Prohibited

Qatar, as previously stated, is an Islamic country.
As a result, drinking or bringing alcohol 🍺 anyplace is severely prohibited 🚫 .
Each bag 💼 is thoroughly inspected even at airports.
If you are over the age of 21, there are specialized areas to drink alcohol 🍷 such as bars, clubs, high-end restaurants, and 5 star hotels 🏨.
You cannot, however, have an alcoholic bottle and drink it in public or be detected as drunk 🥴.
It will result in legal consequences for you.
FACT #5- Stay at Doha

Where should I stay, eat, and visit in Qatar? 🤔
Stay in Doha, Qatari capital.
Doha, particularly the West Bay area, is the greatest spot to stay and visit in Qatar. 🥰
This Doha neighborhood features stunning ocean 🌊 views as well as some of the top stores 🏬 , gardens🏡, hotels 🏨 , restaurants, and cultural activities in the city 🌆.
Everything is available there!
Some fantastic shopping 🛒 opportunities, lovely gardens and tiny historical sites, and a seafront to walk and have delicious 😋 meals at.
