purchased two sim cards for our adventure down under with my girlfriend. We both activated the sim cards in tullamarine airport in Melbourne. The activation took roughly 10 mins to work as we realised our iPhones needed their APN settings updated and the APN codes were printed on the Back of the SIM pack so that was really convenient. The free calls back to the UK really helped us stay in touch with family (their too old for social media lol) so that was a handy extra as well.

I use a lot of data in the UK and have found this australian sim option to be quite useful especially if you use a lot of data for apps you frequently use.
