6 Facts I Wish I Knew Before Travelling to Qatar

6 Facts I Wish I Knew Before Travelling to Qatar

Are you planning a trip to Qatar ๐Ÿ‡ถ๐Ÿ‡ฆ ?ย

Qatar is one of the most gorgeous ๐Ÿ˜ Middle Eastern countries.
When you arrive in Qatar, you instantly feel rich ๐Ÿค‘ and luxurious.
It is a country of massive buildings of cutting-edge design, breathtaking scenery, and wonderful shopping ๐Ÿ›.
It’s famous for its natural beauty, large sand dunes, and sandy beaches ๐Ÿ– .
Nonetheless, you should be aware (if you haven’t already) that Qatar has its own values.
And, every tourist should respect โœŠ๐Ÿป any countryโ€™s values.

And, for not worrying about where to go, what to eat, what to wear, or what to doโ€ฆ ๐Ÿค”
You should plan ahead of time, do some research ๐Ÿง, and find someone to guide you.
But wait!
King ๐Ÿคด๐Ÿผ Sims has shown up! I will always lead you in the right direction.
I will reveal the 6 Facts I Wish I Knew Before Travelling To Qatar!

So, Letโ€™s Quickly Start.

FACT #1- Arabic Is Not the Only Language Spoken

My biggest concern after arriving in Qatar was that I wouldn’t be able to connect with anyone.
Considering that Qatar ๐Ÿ‡ถ๐Ÿ‡ฆ is an Arabic-speaking nation and I only speak English.
Yet, I was taken aback. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
The majority of individuals there speak English, and they are very helpful in clarifying any misunderstandings. ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

The best part of it all.
Everything is available in both Arabic and English.
Everything, including street signs ๐Ÿชง and menus, is written in both Arabic and English, making it incredibly straightforward to get around.

FACT #2- The Weather is a Problem

Don’t make my mistake and visit Qatar during the intense heat. โ˜€๏ธ
Qatar is a must-see ๐Ÿ‘€ destination.
Nonetheless, you should plan your trip carefully.
As Qatar can get extremely hot ๐Ÿฅต.
Especially, during May till the end of September.
Not only is it not hot, but it is also quite humid.
Middle Eastern humidity is no joke ๐Ÿฅฒ.
In opposition to us, because we are not adapted to these temperatures ๐Ÿค’ .

You should be cautious while booking your trip to Qatar ๐Ÿ‡ถ๐Ÿ‡ฆ so that you can enjoy your stay without becoming exhausted ๐Ÿ˜ฉ.
If you did, though, and travelled ๐Ÿงณ within these months.
Don’t be too concerned ๐Ÿ˜ง.
Qatar has found a way to beat the searing heat.
There are several air-conditioned open public places in Doha (Qatar’s capital).

But, to enjoy Qatar’s outdoor activities to the maximum, make sure you travel ๐Ÿงญ during the right times.

โžก๏ธ The best months to visit Qatar are from November through the end of March. This time of year seems like Western May and June!

โฌ†๏ธ Keep in mind that Qatar can be extremely freezing, especially during the months of January and February.

Hence, plan ahead of time and visit Qatar during the appropriate months.

FACT #3- There is a Dress Code

As tourists, we must respect any country’s culture, values, and traditions.
Qatar is an Islamic country with very traditional attire.

First-time visitors โœˆ๏ธ to Qatar are often confused ๐Ÿค” about what to wear.
Of course, you are not going to dress as the locals do.
However, you are recommended to dress modestly and conservatively, in a comfortable and non-revealing manner.

Wearing a regular t-shirt ๐Ÿ‘• and jeans ๐Ÿ‘– is the most secure option โœ”๏ธ.
Women ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป should cover their shoulders and refrain from wearing short skirts or shorts ๐Ÿฉณ.
Both men ๐Ÿ‘จ and women ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿป attempt not to wear sleeveless tops and short bottoms.

Because of the severe heat, bring a cap ๐Ÿงข , sunscreen ๐Ÿงด , and sunglasses ๐Ÿ•ถ with you at all times.

FACT #4- Drinking Alcohol is Prohibited

Qatar, as previously stated, is an Islamic country.
As a result, drinking or bringing alcohol ๐Ÿบ anyplace is severely prohibited ๐Ÿšซ .
Each bag ๐Ÿ’ผ is thoroughly inspected even at airports.
If you are over the age of 21, there are specialized areas to drink alcohol ๐Ÿท such as bars, clubs, high-end restaurants, and 5 star hotels ๐Ÿจ.
You cannot, however, have an alcoholic bottle and drink it in public or be detected as drunk ๐Ÿฅด.
It will result in legal consequences for you.

FACT #5- Stay at Doha

Where should I stay, eat, and visit in Qatar? ๐Ÿค”
Stay in Doha, Qatari capital.

Doha, particularly the West Bay area, is the greatest spot to stay and visit in Qatar. ๐Ÿฅฐ
This Doha neighborhood features stunning ocean ๐ŸŒŠ views as well as some of the top stores ๐Ÿฌ , gardens๐Ÿก, hotels ๐Ÿจ , restaurants, and cultural activities in the city ๐ŸŒ†.
Everything is available there!
Some fantastic shopping ๐Ÿ›’ opportunities, lovely gardens and tiny historical sites, and a seafront to walk and have delicious ๐Ÿ˜‹ meals at.
